A NOTE FROM ELIZABETH

In My Own Words

Hormonal changes can affect nearly every part of how you feel, day to day, and it's frustrating when those symptoms get dismissed or oversimplified. I want you to feel truly listened to here. We look at your labs and your history together, and I explain what's happening in your body in plain language, so you understand your plan and feel confident moving forward with it.

— Elizabeth Hagen, ARNP, Owner & Provider

CANDIDACY & SAFETY

Is Hormone Therapy Right for You?

Candidacy depends on your symptoms, health history, and lab results. Certain personal or family health histories can affect whether hormone therapy is appropriate, which is why testing and a full evaluation always come before treatment.

Hormone therapy carries individual risks and benefits that are reviewed with you based on your personal and family health history before starting treatment.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is used to help relieve symptoms of hormonal imbalance, including those related to perimenopause, menopause, and low testosterone. Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to the hormones your body naturally produces, and can be prescribed in several forms depending on your needs and preferences.

Your plan begins with a review of your symptoms, health history, and lab work, so that your hormone therapy is tailored specifically to your body rather than a standard dose.

A PLAN BUILT AROUND YOUR BIOLOGY

Guided by Your Labs, Not Guesswork

Hormone therapy works best when it's based on real data. We start with comprehensive lab testing to understand your current hormone levels, review your symptoms and health history, and use that information to determine whether hormone therapy is appropriate and what form and dose make sense for you.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Hormone Therapy Options

Depending on your symptoms and lab results, bioidentical hormones may be prescribed as creams, patches, oral medication, or pellet therapy. We review the differences in convenience, absorption, and monitoring needs so you can choose the option that fits your life.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR TREATMENT

Your Treatment, Explained

How Bioidentical Hormone Therapy Works

Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to hormones produced by the body. When treatment is appropriate, carefully selected hormones and delivery methods are used to address documented symptoms and hormone patterns, with dosing individualized through clinical evaluation and laboratory monitoring.

TREATMENT GOALS & MONITORING

Your goals, progress, and ongoing care

What We’re Working Toward

The goal is meaningful symptom relief and improved day-to-day function while using the lowest appropriate dose for your individual needs and maintaining careful attention to safety.

How We Monitor Progress

We monitor symptom response, side effects, and follow-up laboratory results. Your dose, formulation, or delivery method may be adjusted as your needs change over time.

AFTERCARE & RECOVERY

Aftercare, Monitoring, and When to Call

Follow the dosing and application instructions provided for your specific hormone plan, and do not change the dose or schedule without discussing it with the clinic. If you use a topical hormone, wash your hands after application and avoid transferring medication to another person. If you receive a pellet, follow the incision-care and activity instructions given at your visit.

Keep scheduled follow-up visits and laboratory testing so symptoms, treatment response, and safety markers can be reviewed. Contact the clinic for new or unexpected vaginal bleeding, significant swelling, severe headache, vision changes, marked mood changes, or other symptoms that concern you. Seek urgent medical care for chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, one-sided leg swelling, signs of stroke, or a severe allergic reaction.
