Experience that connects medicine, skin health, and aesthetics.

I have spent more than 25 years working across plastic surgery, dermatology, nursing, laser medicine, and aesthetics. That experience helps me look at the whole picture, explain what I see, and build care around the person in front of me.

Dr. Elizabeth Hagen, ARNP, founder of Hagen Health and Absolute Aesthetics in Mukilteo, Washington

elizabeth Hagen, arnp - THE PERSON BEHIND THE PRACTICE

Care is better when the whole picture is visible.

My approach to care has been shaped by experience across many areas of medicine and aesthetics. My background includes plastic surgery, dermatology, nursing, primary care, laser medicine, electrology, and medical aesthetics. Each has taught me to see patients from a different perspective, shaping how I listen, what I notice, and how I develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans.

When someone comes to me with a concern, I look beyond a single symptom or treatment. Skin, hormones, medications, health history, lifestyle, and personal goals can all influence one another. My role is to understand how those pieces fit together, explain what I am seeing clearly, and recommend care based on the individual - not simply on a procedure or service.

I have built my clinical and aesthetic team with that same philosophy in mind. I wanted professionals who bring experience and expertise to their own areas of care while sharing a commitment to natural results, thoughtful recommendations, and treating each patient as an individual. By bringing those perspectives together, we can offer patients a more complete and collaborative approach while staying within each team member’s area of expertise.

Shannon Michaelson, RN

Aesthetic Nurse Injector

Shannon brings more than 30 years of nursing experience and more than 15 years of experience in aesthetic medicine to Hagen Health & Absolute Aesthetics. Her nursing background includes surgical intensive care, trauma, PACU, and preoperative care, providing a strong clinical foundation for her work in aesthetics.

Her aesthetic experience includes neurotoxin treatments and hyaluronic-acid dermal fillers. She especially enjoys working with patients over 40 and helping them achieve refreshed, natural-looking results that complement their individual features.

Shannon's approach is collaborative and conservative: understand each patient's goals, evaluate individual facial features and needs, and develop subtle treatment plans designed to enhance rather than change appearance.

Originally from San Diego, Shannon has called the Mukilteo area home for approximately 25 years. She appreciates the Pacific Northwest's natural aesthetic and brings that same philosophy to patient care.

Kelsey Huff

Licensed Aesthetician

Kelsey provides personalized facial services designed around each client's skin, comfort, and goals.

Her services include Signature European facials and hydrodermabrasion exfoliating and hydrating facials, with 60- and 90-minute options. Treatments may include masks and facial massage, with optional oxygen, ultrasound, or radiofrequency as part of the selected facial service.

IN MY OWN WORDS

I want you to know and understand your options  and feel confident in your plan

I believe good care is personal, it starts with me listening to you. I want to understand what you are noticing, what has changed, what you have already tried, and what matters most to you. From there, we can talk through your options and decide together what makes sense.

Sometimes the right next step is treatment. Sometimes it is further evaluation, a different approach, or simply giving something more time. I will always be honest about what I think may help, what may not, and why.

My goal is for you to leave feeling informed, comfortable with the plan, and confident that the recommendations we make are based on your best outcome; not on what happens to be popular or what we happen to offer.
