Rosacea Treatment in Mukilteo, WA

Individualized rosacea care for redness, flushing, inflammation, bumps, and visible vessels using medical skin care, prescriptions, and IPL or laser when appropriate.

A PLAN BUILT AROUND YOUR BIOLOGY

Redness Is Not One Problem

Rosacea can involve persistent redness, flushing, visible vessels, acne-like bumps, burning, sensitivity, thickening, or eye symptoms. The pattern matters because medication may improve inflammation while IPL or vascular laser is more appropriate for selected vessels and background redness.

I also look for skin-barrier damage, product irritation, sun exposure, medication effects, and other conditions that can resemble or worsen rosacea.

A NOTE FROM ELIZABETH

In My Own Words

People with rosacea are often using too many products because they are trying to calm skin that keeps reacting. I want to simplify the picture, identify what is inflammatory and what is vascular, and build treatment in an order your skin can tolerate.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Medical Skin Care, Prescription Treatment, IPL, and Laser

Your plan may include gentle barrier-supportive skin care, topical or oral medication, trigger and sun-protection strategies, IPL for diffuse redness, or laser treatment for selected vessels. Eye symptoms or diagnostic uncertainty may require coordinated referral.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR TREATMENT

Your Treatment, Explained

How Rosacea Treatments Address Different Features

Medication can reduce inflammatory pathways, bumps, or mites involved in some rosacea patterns. IPL and vascular laser direct light toward hemoglobin in visible vessels and diffuse redness. Barrier care reduces avoidable irritation and improves tolerance of treatment.

CANDIDACY & SAFETY

Is This Rosacea Treatment Plan Right for You?

Adults with recurring redness, flushing, bumps, burning, or visible vessels can be evaluated. Active infection, recent sun exposure, pregnancy, photosensitizing medication, certain skin tones, or eye symptoms can change the treatment sequence or require referral.

Not all redness is rosacea and not every skin tone is appropriate for every light-based device. Diagnosis, device choice, wavelength, settings, and sun history are reviewed before treatment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A process built around your safety and progress

01

Pattern and Trigger Evaluation

We review symptoms, eye involvement, products, medications, sun exposure, triggers, and the distribution of redness or bumps.

02

Calm Inflammation and Protect the Barrier

Skin care and medication are selected to reduce active inflammation and improve tolerance before adding procedures when needed.

03

Target Persistent Redness or Vessels

IPL or laser may be added for appropriate vascular features, with maintenance based on recurrence and skin response.

TREATMENT GOALS & MONITORING

Your goals, progress, and ongoing care

What We’re Working Toward

The goal is fewer flares, less persistent redness or inflammation, improved comfort, and a practical routine you can maintain. Rosacea is managed over time rather than permanently cured.

How We Track Improvement

We compare flare frequency, baseline redness, visible vessels, bumps, burning, product tolerance, and photographs when useful. Treatment is adjusted according to which features improve and which remain active.

AFTERCARE & RECOVERY

Skin Care After Rosacea Treatment

Use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and broad-spectrum sunscreen, and follow the medication or procedure instructions provided for your plan. After IPL or another energy-based treatment, avoid excess heat, vigorous exercise, sun exposure, exfoliation, and irritating active products for the period discussed at your visit. Do not pick or scrub treated skin.

Contact the clinic for blistering, increasing pain, spreading redness, drainage, marked swelling, eye symptoms, or a reaction that is not improving as expected. Consistent sun protection and attention to personal triggers help protect results and reduce avoidable flares.
