What Causes Unwanted Hair?

Hair growth may reflect genetics, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, medications such as prednisone, or other hormone changes. Gender-affirming and preoperative hair removal are also available.

Should I Stop Tweezing or Waxing?

Yes. Tweezing, waxing, and sugaring remove the target needed for treatment and can contribute to ingrown hairs, inflammation, pigment change, and scarring. Shaving or trimming is usually preferred between visits.
