What Is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable neuromodulator that temporarily reduces targeted muscle activity to soften dynamic lines and refine facial expression. Treatment may be used to smooth forehead lines, soften frown lines and crow’s feet, lift and shape the brows, and address selected areas of the lower face where muscle movement contributes to lines, pulling, or an expression you would like to change.
Rather than focusing on a single wrinkle, we look at how the muscles of your face work together. The position of your brows, the movement around your eyes and mouth, facial symmetry, muscle strength, and the way one muscle group influences another can all affect the final result.
BOTOX® Treatment Designed Around Your Expression
Your treatment begins with a conversation about what you would like to see when you look in the mirror. We then evaluate your facial anatomy and movement, previous experience with BOTOX® or other neuromodulators, and the areas you would like to improve before determining where treatment is appropriate and how it should be placed.

BOTOX® Cosmetic may be a good option if you want to smooth expression lines and wrinkles, soften a tired or tense appearance, lift or shape the brows, or refine areas of the upper or lower face without surgery. Whether you are beginning to notice lines with facial movement or have deeper expression lines that have become more visible over time, BOTOX® treatment can be planned around the areas you would most like to improve and the way you want to look.
During your consultation, we look at how your face moves, where your muscles are strongest, your brow position and facial balance, previous experience with BOTOX® or other neurotoxins, and the changes you would like to see. This helps determine whether BOTOX® is appropriate and where treatment may provide the most meaningful aesthetic improvement.
Your safety is part of every BOTOX® consultation. We review your health history, medications, previous botulinum toxin treatments or reactions, and planned treatment areas before proceeding.BOTOX® Cosmetic may not be appropriate for everyone. Infection at a planned injection site, certain neuromuscular conditions, previous allergic reactions to botulinum toxin products or their ingredients, and certain medications or medical conditions may affect treatment. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy, this should also be discussed before treatment. We will review potential risks, expected effects, aftercare, and when to contact us with any concerns.

AFTERCARE & RECOVERY
After BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatment
Avoid rubbing, pressing, or massaging the treated areas unless instructed otherwise. Remain upright for the first several hours and avoid strenuous exercise, significant heat exposure, or anything that places firm pressure on the injection sites for the remainder of the day. Mild redness, tenderness, small bumps, or bruising can occur, and results develop gradually.
Contact the clinic if you develop marked asymmetry, significant eyelid or brow drooping, worsening pain, or another unexpected reaction. Seek urgent medical care for difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing; generalized muscle weakness; or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
